I just noticed that everyone I know who gets it seems to spend it on themselves. Like my boyfriends mom who didn't buy him clothes or anything when she was getting child support money and his dad gave her over $14,000 to save for him for college and she blew all of the child support money, the money for him for college, and a lot of other money she got from marrying someone who was dying and now constantly complains about being poor. One of my friends mom's also misuses her child support money and even took her ex to court to try to get his christmas bonus for herself even though he was using all of it on his kid. My mom uses her child support money on ordering pizza and getting dunkin donuts every day. And it seems like the same people doing that also abuse government programs. Like my boyfriends mom and her boyfriend are sitting around all day collecting unemployment for over 6 months with no intention of finding jobs. My aunt and uncle are also doing the sit on your *ss til unemployment runs out thing (they don't get child support or even have children but I thought I'd mention that). My mom gets food stamps, housing istance, disability, child support, and now wants me to get wic, which I don't need, so she can get more free things. I told her I was going off wic and she used the vouchers without even asking. I wouldn't put it past her to go to wic appointments without my permission and get more vouchers.. She even wants to talk my dad into giving her $50 a month after he's done paying child support in a few weeks because she "needs it for bills" which her parents pay most of. My cousins, who all have jobs, managed to get all of their kids on wic. One of my cousins is married to a guy that owns 4 subways and still managed to get on wic! The list of people doing this stuff just goes on and on and all of this stuff got me thinking, does anyone actually know anyone who isn't abusing child support or government programs? It seems like everyone I know who gets that stuff is I hope there's at least some people out there that are using that stuff properly.

How do i deal with missing school?

i am in all pre ap 2 cles at school except for history and im the only one student allowed to take out a computer. my problem is that i am new here and just got through 1/2 a semester last year as a freshman. the twist is that this school has a weird routine. they have A day and B day. i am having a hard time adjusting. i fit in with the crowd and have friends get very good grades but cant handle the stress! i am falling apart! i am litteraly getting sick by stressing out too much. some and most days i have to stay up the entire night and proceed to stay awake in all cles just like im doing now. my problem is that i was sick for 2 school days one week and then 1 day the next and went to school the next day. i missed 2 B days and 1 A day. and the rest of this week of thanksgiving just ped. i had no way of contacting most of my teachers and on the last day that i was at school i couldnt stay after school because of the holidays and i couldnt get any extra info on any of my homework. (btw i spend all of my time after school for about 2 hours every day and my lunches as well) all of my rescources were worthless and now i am struggling to finish. i was sick the days absent but in a few days i have to leave overseas for another week i dont know what im going to do! i need help and the reason i spend so long at school is because of my ADHD and i do take meds for it but still they are ineffective no matter what the dosage. yes im focused but i cant concentrate... basically im stress about what is to come, my grades, and how im going to get through all of it and still make an A B average :'(

Umbilical hernia, different symtpoms?

Heightened sense of smell?

If I wake up early in the morning, around six (usually for school) I've noticed i have a super-strong sense of smell. Like I open the fridge I can smell all of the food and stuff. I'm sorry you're uneasy about this. I know it probably doesn't help, but we all come in different shapes and sizes. Although the physical appearance is what people see first, you have ample opportunity to be the petite caring and delicate individual you are inside. The girls who ume you are some big burly man's man probably aren't giving you the chance to show who you really are and therefore aren't worth the time of trying to prove you're not. Just be yourself and although it may be hard, learn to love yourself for who you are. As far as exercising goes, you don't have to go to the gym and lift mive weights etc., but maybe some laps in the pool, a brisk pace on a treadmill or around your neighborhood, or pilates which stretches your muscles while toning them so you don't look bulky may help. But most importantly just love yourself and the peole around you and you'll eventually attract the girls you're looking for.

Did i do the right thing?

Approximately 2 months ago, I broke up with my boyfriend of almost 2 years. I am 15, he is 16. I broke up with him because he was very possessive and controlling. Ignition/ starting prolem, need help?

I have a 1983 jeep scrambler that has been sitting for 15 years due to problems with the carburator. For some reason now I cant get it to turn over. It will crank but it just wont start. I replaced the starter, solenoid, distributor cap, igintion module and startor coil as well as all the spark plugs and the plugs they connect to. It seem to be getting spark but im not sure i think it has something to do with the carburator. If you can give me any idea as to why it wont turn over and run it would be greatly appreciated. i woke up in the middle of the night, around 2 to 3 in the morning, i always wake up when someone is in my room. i was laying on my fewton on the ground and i looked at the end of it and there was this little girl with long black hair drooping over her face and she started walking towards me, i quickly wipped around and then looked back and she was gone. exactly a week later, (i didnt say anything to any one) the same thing happend to my mom. ive also woken up with my lights on and something with a terrifying voice said my name. and to this very day everyonce and a while i will be laying in bed watching tv and my bed will literly jump up. i also remember having a dream were my covers were getting pulled under my bed and when i woke up the next morning, they were all the way tucked under my bed in the corner. the tv in our house is always turning on by itself. we just got done watching my bloody valentine and we turned off the dvd player and stereo system and switched it to regular tv, we watched it for a lil bit and then shut it off and went to bed. me and my brother were fast asleep in our rooms but my mom was lying in bed because she heard something. she was just lying there and it was getting louder and louder. the main menu screen of the horror movie was playing and the stereo system was getting louder and louder. we turned everything off and switched the tv to cable, but it still happened. we built the house ourselves, but right wear we built it use to be a meadow surrounded by trees and it could not be seen from the road. someone please tell me if they think my house is haunted and if so, how can i contact the spirit?

If you were pregnant and far enough along the doctor would be able to tell by your hormone levels. Considering you may have pcos - you could possible have a cyst that is about to rupture which may be causing you some pain or discomfort. It's very common for a woman with pcos to go months without a period. There really isn't one definitive test for pcos. They can check your testosterone levels but considering your weight I would imagine it would be higher no matter what. I would go back to the doctor and get a pregnancy test one more time and then ask to be put on birth control - make sure they put you on a pill appropriate for someone with pcos - I believe apri is good one for women with pcos. But you really need to some what regulate your periods. It's not healthy to go nineteen weeks without a period.

Granny. We use Grandma in our house. In fact my son calls all his Grandma's, Grandma. It can get confusing. If they happen to be in the same place at the same time, then my step-mother is plain Grandma (since that is who is regularly in his life) and my mom is Grandma D. The only grandma he calls different is my Grandma. He calls her Great-Grandma. ;-) We're not too creative. They don't see my in-laws, but we usually refer to them as Grandma (last name) and Grandpa (last name). Why won't my 1 month old nap during the day?

I have a 1 month old who used to take good naps (1-2 hours) during the day and sleep 4+ hours at a time at night in between feedings. The last 2 days he has when I lay him down he will stay asleep for 10 min or so, then wake up crying. I try going in to settle him down, then lay him back in his crib drowsy and he just keeps waking up. Nothing has changed in our routine, but he just won't stay asleep. He is still sleeping good at night thankfully, but gets so cranky from being overtired during the day.

You need a tank to properly keep a reptile. They are not that expensive. I just bought a 10 gal at Petland for 28 bucks. Petco sometimes has a dollar-agallon sale. it sounds like there has been much going on in the house. it could be possible that your dog may need some extra attention. he probably feels very insecure with the loss of one of his pack members and might require more time with the pack masters to adjust. try taking him on walks anyway and keeping him occupied as much as possible. be calm and ertive when doing activities together and it may make you feel better to use a muzzle. it seems harsh, but it may make you more comfortable allowing him to interact with people. buy a basket muzzle that will allow your dog plenty of room to open his mouth and pant if he needs to. he may be very sensitive to the recent changes in his environment and an atmosphere of stress will exacerbate this problem. a muzzle, if nothing else, might make you feel better and maybe he will feel better too, dogs are very sensitive to human anxiety. also, it is very important never to reward negative behavior. only pet and love on him when he's done something good. showing him love when he's nervous only reenforces a negave state of mind. when he's calm he deserves affection, if he growels or cowers do not give him hugs and cuddles. correct the problem calmly and move on. he needs practice socializing so i wouldn't encourage locking him up all by himself. if he needs space he'll go somewhere quiet on his own. right now he needs direction and good leadership and alot of safe, postitive interaction. yes a muzzle would make you feel much safer.

Parkour is the activity where one uses their own human body to flow through an environment to get from point a to point b as fast and efficient as possible. Parkour does indeed originate from France, it was founded by David Belle. There are no specific laws regarding Parkour, however, you COULD be questioned by Police/Security as there are some happenings. I don't blame them however, they can misunderstand it as running away after stealing something (just one of the things they might think). Parkour is difficult in both mental and physical aspects. You've got your body doing the movements and then you've got your mind questioning thing's like, "Can I make this jump and not hurt myself?" So there are some mental barriers that make it difficult. Vocational Rehabilitation Funding?

My boyfriend is going through the vocational rehabilitation program because of a bad knee and severe bipolar disorder. His knee has kept him out of work for several months due to his inability to get to work after we had a problem with our vehicle. The walk to the bus stop killed his knee and he had to quit after some time. The thing is he just went to the doctor through voc rehab and the doctor told him there was nothing wrong with his knee. The thing is we KNOW there is something bad wrong with it as he can not walk without a limp nevertheless walk for long distances and can sometimes not even walk at all. 2 years ago a doctor told him he needed surgery on it. I am curious about the funding towards voc rehab because my boyfriend def got a feeling of the doctor just not wanting to deal with his problem. Is voc rehab paid per person and "case solved"? This would explain them just wanting to tell him theres nothing wrong. Will voc rehab allow a 2nd opinion? I'm quite distressed.

You don't want to get low quality toys for a two year old boy because they're very rough with their toys, and if he loves it and it breaks there will be a huge tantrum. Not fun for mom. My son turned two three weeks ago, and his favorite things in the world are hot wheels cars. We got a girft card for toys r us, and all he wanted were trains, cars, and airplanes. The best thing about hot wheels is that they cost 99 cents each. They're metal, so they don't break easy, and he'll play with them for years! And for my dad's birthday last year, I simply baked some yummy cupcakes(I made chocolate cabernet cupcakes. All you do is use a good cab instead of water or milk in your favorite chocolate cupcake recipe) and got a nice picture frame that holds a collage of pictures, and put pics of my dad with me and my siblings in it. I come to a door and am apprehensive in opening it, I open it and there is a soldier in a blue uniform standing with his rifle pointed at me. Amp will NOT turn on, am I missing something?

okay i was installing some subs in my friends 05 altima. we used 10-gauge wire for the positive and ground. The ground was connected to a bolt in the trunk against the body and the postiive was connected straight to the battery (no in-line fuse). installed a line out converter to the stock head unit for RCA output. the amp turned on earlier before we installed it just to see if it would turn on and it did. i tried putting the remote wire from the + to the REM so it would automatically turn on but none of the lights would come on. the fuse on the amp is fine i just dont know anything i can do next to get these subs working.. setup: 1 12" Rockford fosgate p2 and a sound storm F260.5.

I have had a LEEP but do not know what a DNC is. I just wanted to tell you that a LEEP is really not painful. You really only feel a tiny pinch when the numbing stuff is injected. 1979 Ford Pinto mechanical problem question...?

Strange problem with my 1979 Ford Pinto. Car idles well but sometimes when driving (usually between 35-top speed) it chokes and misses. I can let off the gas pedal and finesse it a little and make it stop but it will do it again at random. So far I've changed the alternator, cap, rotor, plugs, wires, air cleaner, cleaned the carburetor and plugged the vacuum line to the EGR valve to byp it. Anyone have any other ideas on suspect things to test out?

I went the the doctor he prescribed prevacid 30 days I took one pill then decided to wait on it because I was feeling better. I haven't started the regimen because before I had constipation so bad that i couldn't p gas I am better know but still have bouts of acid reflux to the point of gagging and choking, the more I Read the more I wonder.Ironically not enough acid is the real problem along with possible pancreatic problems or not enough bile released for digestion. Im taking gas pills mylanta and took pepcid twice. A long term acid reflux medication regimen is dangerous your acid is the first line of defense against virus and bacteria long term use puts you at risk for cancer pneumonia the list goes on. What should I do I know its linked to something else I have had a stomach ultrasound it came back ok but that test isn't reliable in terms of gastrointestinal disorders. Doctors keep telling me im ok they give me pills that will help but in the long term they are problematic what the hell should I do?

Why won't my truck start?

I have a 1992 Chevy K1500. Just recently it quit starting. It turns over, but seems like it isn't getting any fuel. I smelled around the carburetor and couldn't smell any gas. When I turned the key to the "on" I could hear the hum of the fuel pump. I sprayed a little starter fluid in the carb and it started right up. I was able to drive it home without any problems and it started up again right after I shut if off. I let the truck sit for a couple hours and tried to start it again. It did the same thing before and wouldn't start. I am not a mechanic by any means; any advice is appreciated. Is this a bad fuel pump or relay? Thanks!

Is religion only surviving because it a good tool for social order?

every so ofter i'll read a quote from some famous scientists, either supporting or refuting some idea about god, evolution, or any of the other topics which often are debated in here. my question is, do they really matter? do personal feeling really make a difference when it comes to science. einstein is one who's "religion without science" quote is thrown around a lot. regardless if einstein was an atheist, a christian, a jew, or a hari krishna, aren't we overlooking the possibility that even einstein can be wrong in his personal beliefs? i mean accepting scientific models which can be verified through repeated experiments is one thing. taking someone at their word about a presumed god is entirely different. don't you think?

After you get your license, each jump costs somewhere bet 20-25 dollars usually. And you have to buy your own gear which can be expensive depending on the gear and if its new or used. So I go to this private beauty school in California and I have been there since feburary 2010. I also recently returned from a leave of absence. The problem is the new teachers! I'm not sure how to handle this situation! I feel favoritism coming from my African American instructor she's always picking on me or just plainly on her phonr instead of helping me out on ignments or clients ! My baby won't chew anything but Puffs?

11 months old, still nursing, still getting organic jarred baby foods, but the only thing he'll pick up and chew are the Gerber puffs, and he LOVES them! That is a weird message. I am just wondering, did you disconnect the scanner from the computer before trying to install this driver? At least with some printers/combos, the driver downloads require you to disconnect the printer so the driver will "install properly" and then reconnect it after the driver is finished downloading. If you didn't do it that way with the scanner, try it and see what happens. You might be able to "fool" whichever system is having an "issue" with the install that everything is OK.

Why does my car die when I use any air vent setting except the floor vent?

I have a 2000 Ford Taurus and it dies when idling both in gear or parked, but--and I find this very odd--It doesn't seem to do it when I have the vent set to floor, but if I switch it to anything else, it sputters and/or just dies. It's been into the shop a few times and they can't seem to figure it out.

McCain was trying to limit their participation in the market because he thinks the Private sector works better. Anyone who actually foresaw the crisis would have acted to try to curb the sub prime mortgage market. Fannie and Freddy hold half of all mortgages, and none of them are sub prime, but they account for only a tiny fraction of the loses. We would be better off if there had been more government involvement in the mortgage markets not less, and I think McCain's actions showed a lack of insight into the real problems because he was worried about the wrong thing.

In Lord of the Rings why does Frodo leave?

In Lord of the Rings why does Frodo leave at the end? He goes to the Elven lands, but why? I mean he has no family there other than Bilbo, and his heart truly belongs in the Shire... the Elven lands have nothing to offer him except for long/never ending life. but his friends and family are in the Shire... and when Bilbo was writing his book, he said "There has always been a Baggins living in Bagend, and there always will be." But how could there be a Baggins living there now that Frodo left? does that mean there just wont be any Baggins living there ever anymore? It led me to believe maybe Frodo would eventually return to the Shire to have a family... I would like to hear everyones opinions on this, because Im very confused and it just seems like Frodo belongs in the shire... I alway tear up at the end because its just so heartbreaking that he leaves.. it feels like a hole has been tore in my heart, and idk why. i guess its just because i grew up loving these movies and now im old enough to fully understand them... but i just dont know why Frodo would possibly want to leave... and if he ever returns..
