How do I grow a beautiful thick carpet of centipede gr?

My 1.39 acres of land is nothing but sand. It has crabgr all over and thistles and something like border gr but sticky leaves. I am hopeing to quickly choke these unwanted weeds out. I think the centipede will help with our medium sized erosion problem. So, I want to grow the centipede as quickly as I can, can you offer suggestions?
