Could the British Channel E4 ever run in America?

If they did, it would be the main channel I'd watch. Most of the shows I watch are on that channel and I hate having to wait til they are uploaded online. They'd get a lot of viewers since they focus on teens/young adults. There's a lot of Americans who love shows like Skins, Misfits, and Inbetweeners. Do you think E4 will ever try to offer their channel to the U.S., and if not, how it would be possible? A protest?
